Asian Health Services (AHS) is a community health clinic providing culturally and linguistically concordant care to the Oakland community. AHS offers primary care, specialty services, behavioral health, preventive screening, and community outreach programs supporting and improving access and health equity. The Community Liaison Unit (CLU) unit under Community Services department focuses on patient outreach and offers free vaccines at mobile sites.

Be A Mentor is a youth nonprofit dedicated to empowering children and young adults from challenging circumstances through meaningful mentorship. Viet Collective SF is a community-led space bringing together the Vietnamese community, small businesses, and friends in San Francisco. Trybe Inc. is a community-based non-profit rooted in Oakland's Little Saigon/San Antonio/Fruitvale area, serving youth, families, and businesses in East Oakland. Through youth internships and mentorships, age 0-12 enrichment activities, food and basic need distributions, multicultural family events, sports teams, art and wellness programs, job readiness programs, and safety ambassadors, Trybe helps shift youth and their families' lives in positive ways and nurtures leaders from within the community. With a deep focus on grassroots efforts and a youth-centered approach, Trybe envisions a peaceful and vibrant East Oakland: one where families can create positive cycles of peace, love, and belonging that will last generations.

The Registrar of Voters is responsible for registering voters and administering federal, state, county, special, and local elections. This office prepares official election notices and lists of offices open for candidacy, accepts and verifies candidate nominating petitions, and prepares and prints official and sample ballots in multiple languages including English, Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. The Registrar mails sample ballots to hundreds of thousands of registered voters, recruits and trains thousands of election officers, secures polling locations, and provides all necessary materials for Election Day operations. In addition, the office establishes and updates voting precincts, manages the tabulation of election results, conducts the official canvass of votes, verifies signatures on initiative, referendum, and recall petitions, and leads outreach efforts to maintain high voter registration and participation across the community.

Phong La was elected on November 6, 2018, to serve as the Assessor for the County of Alameda and is committed to making government work for the people of Alameda County. The work that the Assessor’s Office helps generate revenue for Alameda County, its 14 cities, and six unincorporated communities. These major funds provide for crucial services such as schools; public health, social, and family support services; fire, police and sheriff departments; road maintenance; neighborhood improvements, and more. Phong was born in Vietnam and came to the United States as a refugee at the age of two. He grew up in Union City, lived in Fremont for many years and currently lives in Alameda with his wife Stephanie and daughters Olivia and Charlotte.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) for its law enforcement services, its Regional Training Center, and its Dispatch Unit. The Sheriff of Alameda County is responsible for a vast array of tasks and duties. We have openings in various positions including Sheriff's Service Cadet (College Students - Part-time), Deputy Sheriff's Recruit, Sheriff's Technician, Sheriff's Safety Aide, and Emergency Services Dispatcher (Full-Time + comprehensive and competitive benefits package). ARTogether is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oakland, California, that seeks to support and strengthen refugee and immigrant communities through the creative arts, support refugee and immigrant artists, and use public art projects to raise awareness about the refugee and immigrant experience.
