MLK Day of Service
Join the Oakland Volunteer Community (OVCC) and Oakland Public Works on Monday, January 19, 2026, for our city’s largest annual day of civic action. Each year, thousands of Oaklanders honor the legacy of Dr. King by rolling up their sleeves to strengthen our "Beloved Community" through service.
In Oakland, MLK Day is more than a holiday—it is a collective effort to improve our environment, beautify our neighborhoods, and build lasting connections with our neighbors.

Leadership
Press Conference Event
Leaders from the Oakland Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce attended today’s Oakland City Council session to advocate for stronger support for local small businesses and immigrant entrepreneurs.
This meaningful gathering highlights our continued commitment to economic equity and cross-community collaboration. Together, we are working to uplift Oakland’s diverse business community and build a more inclusive future for all.
What We Hold
At ARTogether, what we hold are the voices, visions, and dreams of immigrant and refugee artists and communities. In our workshops, residencies, and gatherings, art becomes more than expression, it becomes belonging, healing, and resistance.
Joy to The Town! Holiday Market
Celebrating the season Oakland-style! The Oakland Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce (OVCC) had an absolute blast at the Oakland Chamber’s “Joy to The Town” Holiday Market. Supporting local vendors, connecting with fellow business leaders, and kicking off the holidays with pure Town energy. Grateful to be part of such a vibrant business community. Wishing all of Oakland a joyful and prosperous holiday season!
The Empathier Documentary
OVCC Movie Night Magic: Dinner, Dialogue, and "The Empathizer"! 🎥🍲
Last Friday, OVCC teamed up with the Oakland Asian Cultural Center, DIAV, APIAHF, CAAM, and Direct Message for an unforgettable evening. We kicked off with a delicious group dinner at our favorite spot — sharing stories, laughs, and before heading to the free screening of "The Empathizer," a powerful documentary by Fred Le about overseas-born Vietnamese returning "home." From Little Saigon to the big screen, this collab celebrated our roots, resilience, and community bonds. Thank you to everyone who joined — let's do more nights like this!

As the voice of over 500 Vietnamese-American businesses, OVCC is proud to help position Oakland as a key Pacific gateway between the U.S. and Asia.
Grateful for the invitation and looking forward to the collaborations ahead!
